Online Christmas Party

There are two types of teams out there: the teams that will wait until next year to gather and have a great time together, when all the pandemic will be over. And the second type of teams that will meet and have a Christmas Party even if it will be online, even if we are all tired of zoom… Just because they want to connect, share, have activities that will be fun and nice to do together.

You will ask me: but even the party virtual? Zoom fatigue is real, I know that maybe is something you would not do unless if you were forced, but the situation is not going to permit having the parties that we are used to.

Give your team the chance to connect, to discuss, to play, to have fun, to try a new experience, to be surprised, even if online.

Celebrate the holiday and close the year in a beautiful way!

Below I will give you an idea of how I organized the Online Christmas Party for the teams that already called me. It’s all very flexible according to the needs of your team: maybe you want something a bit more funny or something a bit more relaxing. I can help you in creating the perfect mix to make it great!

I planned it in a way that will work online, with simple and short activities. With an intro & icebreakers as appetizers and a main activity as the main course and we finish beautifully with the dessert or drinks at the end.

It’s a 2h event and it includes:

• Intro
• Ice-breakers to put everyone in a great mood
• Gratitude ceremony – it has been a challenging year, let’s close it in gratitude
• Competitive and fun games – ex: Holiday Trivia or Scavenger Hunt
• Collaborative game – ex: work in breakout teams to create a virtual Xmas card in Canva
• Visualization exercise for next year – my gift as a coach
• Secret Santa unboxing – if you decide to have it
• Funny team photo – with props or Xmas dress code
• Christmas music in the background for certain activities
• More Christmas Magic!

The pack includes:

• the personalization call to make it great for your team
• better 15 participants but we can talk on what’s best for larger teams
• 2h online Party on Zoom plus 30 min extra is you want to have drinks, cheer and spend more time chatting on Zoom
• it does not include the care packs to send, Secret Santa, the gifts or the materials that the team will need to do the different activities
• you will receive the recording of the event and a super funny team foto to remember the moment
• super activities and technical support during the entire call!

I will give you here a few example of activities that you could do as the main activity of your Party!

• Send a care-package to your employees – from the smallest thing like a Xmas prop or gingerbread biscuits to some flour and cinnamon to bake or a bigger Christmas Gift.
• Virtual Secret Santa – establish a 5 Eur budget and have an online Secret Santa Generator draw the names. Each team member will ship the gift and the unboxing will be done during the call
• Virtual Awards Ceremony – nominate or award each of your team member with a funny or a more serious award and send them a virtual diploma
• Charades – this is absolutely fun online, pick the words randomly online or the coordinator have a list of words ready
• Pictionary – chose images online and send them in private, they should draw on the Zoom whiteboard
• Holiday scavenger hunt – to find 10 items in maximum 3 minutes around the house. The winners will receive a prize
• Create a Holiday shared Spotify playlist
• Karaoke – and use some of the online tools to create it and don’t forget to take photos 🙂
• Christmas Trivia – have some holiday Trivia
• Origami learning – have someone teach you how to make an Origami Xmas tree or watch all together a Youtube tutorial
• Christmas ornaments creation – send them the kit and create a special ornament that everybody will have in their tree
• Christmas card competition – divide the team in smaller teams and send them in breakouts to create the funniest, the most creative, the most interesting Christmas Card to send to your clients. It can be done really easy in Canva and someone shares the screen
• Italian chef cooking demonstration – pick something special but simple and send instructions for the ingredients beforehand
• Gingerbread biscuits baking or decorating – send them the ingredients or the biscuits with the decorating kit beforehand
• Cheese and wine tasting – send them a pack and do the tasting online
• Team dinner – order food for everybody for your team lunch or dinner
• Cocktail making/mixing – have a bartender show you how to create your Xmas party cocktail or follow a Youtube tutorial
• Charity donations – give the money that you were normally spending every year for the party to charity. Or create competitions and the prizes go to charity
• Invite and Artist or a DJ to sing, play or mix for a few minutes and say hi
• Invite your CEO or a famous person for your team to inspire them in 5-10 min speech
• Record a Xmas message from the CEO and play it during the party
• Send them a Holiday Swag Bag.

I gave you quite a lot of ideas. Decide what would work fine for you as a team and go for it.
